About
Hello š·
I'm a saxophone teacherĀ that has been playing this crazy instrument for 16 years now and we've been through a lot! š¤š¤
As a master of classical music on saxophone I've had and I'm still making myself an opportunity to play from Baroque music, Classical period, Romantic, Impressionism, Expressionism to Modern music of 20th and 21st century! I've had many solo concerts withĀ piano accompaniment, so as a part of a chamber ensemble. Since I come from Serbia, I played in Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra as second tenor saxophone.
As a jazz, rock and pop saxophone player, I am studying jazz in Faculty of Music in Belgrade and I've been playing in bands for few years now: as a member of jazz trio, as a co-author in original music band named Kenozoik where we released an album of alternative rock and pop music, in June 2025, as a member of popular cover band in Belgrade named Džepovi (in English it's "Pockets").
Teaching Style
First of all, I imply specific teaching style for every student. Weather you are a beginner or an advanced musician, I make specific approach to your needs and expectations.Ā
If you wish to know more about jazz or popular music, we focus on that. If you need more connection from theory to practical use, we're on it! If you have struggles with classical pieces that's you're already working on in your school - we make sure that those struggles become a featherweight.
I am here to show you all the tips and tricks that I have been learning and discovering for all these years. You are going to love to play this very useful and powerfulĀ instrument! š·
Curriculum
Teaching Method that I developed during thisĀ time as a teacher is consisted of few important parts:
⢠Work on technique. If you don't get to know your instrument, you will never meet all the possibilities that you can have through music experience.
⢠Learn something new each class. We simply add one previously unknown thing about music, anything at all - from technical stuff, through some fun facts about certain music or musicians, to one step up from what we already learned.
⢠Be creative. Always make playing an instrument fun. Music is about expressing yourself and having fun doing it! š„³
Ā
Yes, the path is not straightforward and not easy, sometimes even painful and overwhelming, but exactly because of it, I put this elements in that order so we don't feel the weigh of a knowledge in the end of the day - instead, we make it being not big of a deal and being proud of knowing that craziness that music brings! š
