Dana Rath

Classically trained cellist with nearly 20 years of performing experience and 7 years of teaching experience. I have knowledge in most styles of classical music, from baroque to 21st-century contemporary. I also have experience in preparing for orchestra auditions, competitions, recording pre-screenings, and etc. I teach all ages and am open to anyone, from beginners to more advanced students. 

I tailor my teaching to the individual student. This means that you can come to me with any piece and I can give you the necessary practice methods and musical ideas to help you learn it. I am also very detailed in my teaching and place a strong emphasis on the need for relaxed technique and setup to facilitate ease of playing and prevent injury.
