About
I'm an Austin, TX-born and based composer and multi-instrumentalist. Initially self-taught, I went on to study guitar with John Dearman (Los Angeles Guitar Quartet), Dr. Molly Miller (Jason Mraz, Black Eyed Peas), Dr. Thomas Echols, Dr. Dragos Ilie while attending The Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin. I am fluent in styles ranging from classical, jazz, and rock. In addition to teaching, I am an active performer and composer, playing weddings and private events and composing film scores.
Teaching Style
I've been fortunate enough to study with some amazing players and teachers and have a wealth of knowledge that I am able to impart upon my students. I believe in an individualized approach to teaching, where the student's interests and ambitions are prioritized in each lesson. Whether you're looking to learn how to read music and learn about music theory or simply want to be able to play your favorite song, I'm excited to help you along in your musical journey.
Credentials & Affiliations
I attended the Butler School of Music at The University of Texas at Austin on a full scholarship. In addition to my own studies I am an active teacher serving the greater Austin community, having taught at local music schools such as Band Aid School of Music, Lone Star Guitar Academy, and Austin City Lessons. I am also a professional performing with expereience performing at private events and conservatories all over the country.
