Lauren D

Lauren offers flute, piccolo and theory lessons to all ages of students. Lauren has studied flute at the Mount Royal Conservatory and the University of Victoria. She will be continuing her studies at the Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello di Venezia in the late fall. She is a performer both as a soloist and as a member of various large and small ensembles, previously including Island Chamber Winds and the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra. Her other areas of musical training include piano, voice and theory. She has been awarded 1st Prize in the Gold International Classical Music Competition, and 3rd prize in the Vancouver +Musique competition. 

I believe that every student learns differently, and I tailor my teaching methods to each student based on their unique goals and learning styles. Most importantly, I aim to foster a supportive, safe and fun learning environment for all.
