Very good lesson!

Edna is great! She keeps the lesson moving along and does not waste a minute of time. She is interactive and has her studio set so she can show the kids what she is playing on her piano to better understand if they are stuck. Also, I am very impressed by the way she knows the note they are playing just by hearing it; her experience shines through!

Very knowledgable about flute fingering and alternate fingerings.

We had a failed experience with another instructor but Edna makes up for it as she is everything you want in a piano teacher. She is patient, encouraging, polite and makes learning fun for my daughter. My daughter plays songs from her book but Edna also gives her the opportunity to learn popular songs that she’s interested in playing. She is super sweet and highly recommended.

Edna worked with me on breathing, more specifically taking catch breaths while playing. She suggested an exercise to breathe normally and exhale and hold for a couple of seconds and take in a quick breath.

I'm checking out new flutes and Edna was very kind to listen to the four flutes I am testing out. She's not only a great flute teacher but also a great resource person.

I have been taking lessons from Edna for 6 months and am amazed with her teaching skills! She is so kind, patient and easy to learn from. She also sends a lot of "extras" via email to play and practice on :))) I highly recommend Edna for lessons.

This was my first official lesson with Edna and it was pretty good. Considering the fact that I haven't had a full lesson in almost a year, it was good for me to connect with a flute instructor that could pin point some strengths and weaknesses. She was also very cheerful and we could identify with faith based music, as well as other genres. She was interested in knowing about me wanting to be well-rounded in all different types of genres. Great lesson. Worked on facial and mouth exercises including yawning to relax muscles in the mouth and throat. Worked on lower register by focusing on keeping lips slightly moving downward like a slightly inverted smile.
