About

Hi, my name is Lucas. I'm a music educator with a master's in voice performance (University of Missouri), where I was a Teaching Assistant. I've been teaching for more than 15 years, and I'm proud to say that I have a very good relationship with my students. In these past two years, I won 3 voice competitions and I was the main character of 2 opera productions. I graduated with a GPA of 3.9. I teach my students to be self-taught and that have been worked out very well. I'm gonna do my best to make you comfortable and help you to achieve your goals. Thanks! :)

Teaching Style

My teaching style is dynamic, personalized, and student-centered. I believe in adapting my approach to meet each student's unique needs and goals, whether you're a beginner or an advanced musician. I focus on building strong foundational skills while also encouraging creativity and self-expression. I aim to make each lesson engaging and productive through a mix of technical exercises, repertoire, and musical interpretation. My goal is to help students develop not only their technical abilities but also their confidence and love for music.

Curriculum

Knowing your instrument is essential, so we are going to focus a lot on that. I'm going to teach you how to warm up, and the steps you need to follow to be ready to make music. After that, I use to combine repertoire and technique exercises to fix problems, to improve the sound and to be more expressive. I like to work on the little details. Step by step, you are going to learn how to think by yourself and start to have a practice with more quality.
