About

**Piano lessons in all different styles - Classical, Jazz, Pop, improvisation and Composition - for students of all ages**

I have been teaching piano to children and adults for 9 years with success in a variety of settings: High school students who have been accepted to music performance and composition programs at the University of North Texas, University of Florida, Hochschule für Musik Dresden and the Texas Woman’s University Piano institute. I also have students who compose and perform their own songs, passed Trinity College of London music exams with honors, and even an adult student who studied with me to improve his keyboard solos in his rock band.

In my teaching philosophy, I like to emphasize that by learning music, we can also develop the skills and discipline to succeed in many other activities. By setting clear goals and consistently following a plan to work towards them, we can achieve success in almost every area of life.

By appointment, I also coach students who are interested in taking entrance exams for conservatories in Germany.

Lessons can be given in German or English.

A little about me: I am a concert pianist from the USA, currently studying as a Deutschlandstipendium holder and Meisterklasse student at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden with Professor Hinrich Alpers. I received my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of North Texas. My recent performances include a performance at the Dresdner Kulturpalast as a soloist with the Heinrich Schütz Conservatory Orchester and my solo concert at the Dresden PalaisSommer Festival on August 1. For more information, you can also find me on Spotify, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.

Please contact me through direct message here.

I look forward to meeting you and starting our musical journey together!

Teaching Style

As a piano teacher, my highest priority is patience. I believe learning an instrument is much like learning a language—vulnerability and practice in a supportive environment are key. I’m passionate about helping students develop their musical skills with encouragement and patience, allowing them to reach their goals over time.

My teaching style emphasizes a strong foundation in musicality and technique, equipping students to become leaders of their own musical journey. For beginners, note-reading is an essential tool to bring clarity and confidence to their learning. While my teaching is rooted in the classical tradition, my experience as both a concert and jazz pianist allows me to explore various styles with students once they have a solid grasp of the fundamentals.
