Zeta Brown
About
I fell in love with music at a young age and have pursued it for most of my life. After starting piano at 8 and performing Acoustic Guitar at Irish Pubs by 14, I earned a Bachelor of Music: Commercial Music with a focus on Classical Voice and Classical Piano from Florida Atlantic University. I studied there under Susan Dorchin (Voice), Leonid Treer (Piano), and Michael Zager (Music Production) before setting off into my own musical journey. Currently, I am touring the country performing every weekend at Renaissance Festivals throughout the US from Georgia to Arizona with Celtic Music group, The Reelin' Rogues. I have specialized in Celtic Music for the last 7 years, adding Medieval Bagpipes and Cittern to my menagerie of instruments.
Teaching Style
My teaching style will depend largely on the student's needs and experience. I am a high energy, passionate person. I want music to come alive for you. My classical training gives me a strong foundation in various methods and theories, and my years of performance allow me to adjust my approach to keep the lessons engaging for the student. In addition to the foundational pieces and exercises we go over, I enjoy using music that the student wishes to learn. If that's a classical aria, phenomenal. If that's a Broadway hit, great. If that's a modern rock song, wonderful. Each lesson we will warm up together, go over exercises that will focus on your specific vocal growth and then apply these things to repertoire.
Curriculum
For voice, I do not use one specific method. Every person has a unique voice with unique goals. We will focus on foundational vocal technique as we assess the student's goals for their voice and desired repertoire. I will provide most of the written materials or they will be given during lessons.
