About
I began studying piano at the age of 7, developing a deep passion for music and the instrument. I hold a degree in Elementary Education, and after college, I transitioned into teaching piano. With 17 years of experience, I have taught students in diverse music settings, including group, private, online, and studio lessons. My teaching philosophy emphasizes not only developing technical proficiency but also cultivating a genuine love and appreciation for music in my students.
Teaching Style
My teaching approach begins with building a strong musical foundation through structured lesson books, then extends to exploring a variety of musical skills, including ear training, composition, and other creative avenues of music. I incorporate a range of supplementary materials, such as games, worksheets, and motivational tools, to keep lessons engaging and enjoyable while fostering a well-rounded musical education.
Curriculum
I strive to make learning music an enjoyable experience for my students. I have experience using a wide range of instructional materials, including books from Alfred, Faber, Chord Quest, Hanon, Bastien, Music for Little Mozarts, as well as various advanced study books and supplementary resources.
