Rhythm Coach

Kolston has 20 yrs experience studying drum set and rhythm.  He has taken a diversified approach to music training through both mentorship and self-study.  In 2021 he spent four months training under Carter Mclean (Lion King NY, Charlie Hunter) who has been named the drummer with the best hands in the business. Kolston is also studying Tabla under Ritesh Das of the Toronto Tabla Ensemble. Though drums are his passion he enjoys everything about music. This love of music has led him to study classical guitar, upright bass, piano and vocals. Kolston is a well-rounded musician who has a vast library of knowledge to share. Lessons will be focused on helping you to express your creativity. We will explore movement exercises, hand technique, foot technique and rudiments/sticking. We take these tools and explore the many ways they can be applied to the drum set or any instrument for that matter.
