Blake Evans
About
Playing the drums has always been my passion, ever since the age of five when I first picked up a pair of sticks and started taking lessons shortly after. That passion carried me through to getting a degree at the Frost School Of Music at the University of Miami with a degree in Studio Music & Jazz (2020).
Since then, I’ve been able to play with some incredible artists and bands like Anitta and Alejandra Guzman, America’s Got Talent’s Sal Valentinetti and Landau E. Murphy Jr., NBC’s The Voice winning vocal group Girl Named Tom, Tommy Lefroy, Orlando Mendez, Marielle Kraft, Joe Noto, Love & Water, IMY2, Veta Ceti, and many more.
I am currently based in Nashville, TN where I continue to tour, record, and teach lessons.
Teaching Style
I'm all about tailoring lessons to each individual student. I have no set curriculum that I teach to every student, but rather a collection of exercises and resources that I can give based on what the student is interested in. I believe in positive reinforcement, and my attitude is that anything is possible if you put in the work.
Curriculum
Normally, I help students learn the songs that they are interested in, and work in exercises that can help achieve success in those songs and address difficulties. I also recommend that every student works on rudiments and basic exercises to always continue developing techniques to establish good habits early on.
