While living in Seattle, she took on engagements with organizations such as Emerald City Ballet and Seattle Chinese Orchestra. Last summer, she also attended the Monteux School and Music Festival in Maine as an orchestral cellist and performed in over twelve public concerts in six weeks. Teaching Style
I believe that every student has the ability to learn, enjoy playing the cello, and find their expressive voice on the instrument regardless of age, background, or disability. My teaching style focues on building up the student's technique in order to allow them to move freely and eventually focus on the musical demands rather than physical actions. On a personal note, I have a disability of my own and my own past difficulties have allowed me to help my students overcome physical issues. Students are also free to choose pieces that they would love to learn; if a piece is too difficult for the moment, I will either rewrite the part or use it as a goal we can build up to together.
