About
I’ve been playing drums professionally for over 10 years in Nashville, where I’ve had the opportunity to record and perform live across rock (Taylor Acorn, Raviner, The Parasocial Club), country (Camile Rae), blues (James Hatem), and hip hop (cvffeeshxp) genres. In addition to my performance experience, I’ve spent over 3 years teaching private drum lessons to elementary and junior high students at St. John's Lutheran School, helping them develop their skills while keeping the process fun and rewarding.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is centered around catering to the music that excites the student as well as learning the fundamentals that is within their favorite music. For beginners I love showing them the excitement of drumming and being able to play their first beat by the end of their first lesson. I also love showing students how we can find new ideas through their favorite songs as well as learning to play with other musicians and the importance of drum beats not only for their skills but how they can use them to mold shape and guide a song or jam with other musicians.
Curriculum
My teaching method in a nut shell is to get the student excited about drums and grow their love for music all while teaching them the fundamentals to keep playing at an enjoyable and progressing levels. Pushing to further their knowledge and understanding of how to play different genres and how to play with other musicians.
