About

Hi! I’m Mykola, a passionate vocal coach, singer-songwriter, and music producer with a strong foundation in pop and indie music. I hold a degree in music and vocal education from the Donetsk College of Music, where I graduated in 2020. I also completed advanced studies at the Donetsk Academy of Music, focusing on teaching music and singing. During my studies (2016–2021), I gained valuable teaching experience through a college program working with children—our goal was to nurture their love for music and spark curiosity about sound and expression.

Now based in New York City, I bring real-world performance experience into my lessons. In November 2024, I performed a 45-minute set of original music with a full band at Brooklyn Music Kitchen, and I’ve also taken the stage at PinkFrog Café and FirstLive. I regularly release original music—my latest single, “Young Tonight” (released January 2025), is self-produced and available on all major platforms under my artist name Mykola. Over the years, I’ve released more than 20 original songs that I’ve written and produced myself.

As a teacher, I work with beginners and intermediate-level vocalists, guiding them not just in vocal technique but also in performance, songwriting, and music production when desired. I speak four languages—English, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian—and love working with students from all over the world. My global background and creative perspective help me connect with each student personally and practically, empowering them to find their voice and grow as confident, expressive artists.

Teaching Style

I believe in creating an encouraging, no-pressure environment where students feel comfortable and supported while still working toward specific goals. My lessons are structured yet flexible, tailored to each student's personal style, whether you’re singing for fun or preparing for auditions.

Voice cracks and pitchy notes are all part of the process, so bring it all to the lesson! I love seeing students experiment with their sound—it's natural, and it's how we grow. We’ll work together to improve things like breath control, vocal agility, and pitch accuracy, but we’ll also have fun along the way.

I incorporate music theory and ear training to make sure you not only sound great but also understand what you're doing. My approach is empathetic and relaxed, with a strong focus on achieving both short-term and long-term vocal goals. Let’s build your skills and express yourself through the music you love!
