About
I'm a concert pianist and teacher with 12 years of training. I hold a Distinction in DipLCM, which is the Performance Diploma, and Grade 8 Pianoforte from the London College of Music under the University of West London. I've also completed till Grade 6 for the Theory of Music.
Having taken part in many concerts, I stood first for Espressivo, LCM Kolkata's annual concert, in the years 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. I've also performed with the Calcutta Symphony Orchestra and the CIS Choir at St. John's Cathedral and Birla Mandir Auditorium in Kolkata as the accompanying pianist.
I've taught for 2 years at LCM Kolkata, guiding students of all ages till Grade 8. I now offer online piano lessons for learners of all ages, from beginners to advanced.
Teaching Style
I've been teaching for over 2 years and it has been as much of a learning experience for me as for my students. All my classes are personalized as per the needs and current level of my students. Feel free to ask me any questions at any point of the class, my pace is always adjusted for that of the student. I try to make students sight read as much as possible instead of simply reading the notes out to them since the ultimate goal is always to help them become independent and be capable of reading any piece of music and playing it to perfection.

Recommended books/resources will all be provided for before each class. If I can't provide with the soft copy, I shall let you know the name of the published coursebooks before class- depending on your current level in piano playing.
