About

Pushcart Prize-nominee Donna Glee Williams graduated from Tulane University, then earned an MFA in Writing and PhD in English from LSU. Her 2023 eco-fable The Night Field, winner of the Manly Wade Wellman Award for Science Fiction and Fantasy, was inspired by her Fulbright Senior Environmental Leadership Fellowship studying monoculture and pesticide use among small cotton farmers in India. Her short fiction has been awarded finalist status multiple times in Writers of the Future, Honorable Mention in Gardner Dozois’s Best Science Fiction of the Year anthology, and performance onstage in Hollywood as a finalist in SCI Fest LA. She has lectured and led dream circles for several International Society for the Study of Dreams conferences, as well as for Clarion West, Western Carolina University, and the North Carolina Arboretum. These days she mostly walks in the woods, writes, and leads dream groups from her little cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
