About
Hello! I'm Anderson Lacerda, a professional violinist with over 20 years of experience teaching and performing in Brazil, Argentina, and the United States.
I hold an Artist Diploma from Duquesne University and have performed with leading orchestras including the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, Pittsburgh Ballet Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, and the Bachiana Filarmônica SESI-SP.
I’ve also collaborated with renowned artists such as Pinchas Zukerman, Yo-Yo Ma, Stephen Jackiw, Midori, Sutton Foster, Chris Brubeck, Stewart Copeland (The Police), and Andrea Bocelli. I recorded with Chitãozinho & Xororó on their 40th Anniversary Symphonic Album, which won a Latin Grammy.
My teaching approach is flexible and student-centered. I offer lessons for all levels – from beginners to advanced players – focusing on solid technical foundations, musical expression, and confidence-building.
Whether you're learning for fun, preparing for an audition, working on orchestral excerpts, or studying major concertos, I will tailor the lessons to your personal goals. I use Suzuki, traditional, and modern methods depending on each student’s needs.
