Olga Seibel
About
My name is Olga. I have started my music journey when I was 5 years old, and since then never stopped.
I have 30 years of teaching experience, 16 years of Russian musical education and graduated from Saint-Petersburg conservatoire, Russia, where my major was chorus director, piano and singing. After graduation I worked with Saint-Petersburg Chapel (large state chorus) as a soprano for four years while kept teaching piano and vocal.
From 1994 to 1998 we toured many Europe countries with concerts singing in cathedrals and concert halls.
Currently living in United States, where I was working successfully with two music studios
June 2011 - June 2023 Piano and singing instructor at “MrMusicStore” in Fort Myers, FL
March 2016 - June 2023 Piano and singing instructor at “Footnotes dance and
Music studio” in Lehigh Acres, FL
and had private students on my own for 12 years.
We had annual recitals for our students where I would assist them as an accompanist, playing encembles and singing duets.
All ages and any levels are welcome. I have taught from 5 to 75 and am very considerate to what a student's goal is!
I believe music is a passion, fun and salvation, so is a world wide language that anyone can speak.
Teaching Style
I have a classical academic education, but enjoyed teaching and playing-singing different styles and genres of music with lot’s of my students.
During the lesson I try to cover many aspects of musical education: performance skills, theory, some music history -- as much as possible for the time of a session and as far as a student wants to go.
Sight reading, ear training, understanding chords and chords progression -- you name it!
I will tailor the lesson for the student's goals in order to help to achieve result a student strives to.
Curriculum
I use basic US curriculum of Alfred's, Fabers and Bastien and my own methods beyond that.
For students who want to take piano more serious I use Hannon( complete 60 exercises), Czerny etudes. For the theory Keith Snell and Martha Ashleigh and Practical theory by Sandy Feldstein
