About

***I'm accepting new students!***

Hello, I'm Hyeji (Julia), a professional violinist and dedicated teacher. My goal is to help you build a strong technical foundation while discovering your unique musical voice and deepening your love for music. I am passionate about helping students of all levels build confidence and develop a genuine love of learning.

As an active performer, I bring real-world musical experience into every lesson. I regularly perform as a soloist, orchestral musician, and chamber musician, and I love sharing insights from the stage with my students. Throughout my musical journey, I have had the opportunity to perform in concert halls around the world and contribute to various recording projects, including CDs and music videos.

I recently earned my Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where I strengthened my commitment not only to performance excellence, but also to thoughtful, individualized teaching.

Whether you are just beginning your violin journey or preparing for auditions, competitions, or performances, I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your musical goals in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I would love to connect with you!

Teaching Style

My approach to teaching centers on creating a non-toxic, supportive learning environment where students feel safe, motivated, and confident. I prioritize mental well-being, high-quality instruction, and structured, goal-oriented lessons tailored to each student's needs.

Helping students reach their full potential and develop their critical thinking skills through music is what I love most about teaching.
