About

Hi, I’m Yonatan. I'm a passionate music educator with nearly 10 years of teaching experience. I recently earned a master’s degree from the Eastman School of Music, and before that, I studied trombone and composition in Milan, Italy. Over the past few years, I’ve conducted several orchestras around the country, and my original music has been performed by multiple professional groups. I enjoy helping students connect with music in a way that’s creative, and engaging, whether by learning an instrument, theory, or composing their own work!

Teaching Style

My teaching approach draws on several established methods but remains clear and practical. I focus on helping students build the skills to practice independently and think critically about their music, while also keeping lessons engaging and creative so that the artistic side always comes through!

Curriculum

I shape my teaching to fit the needs of each student. Lessons are rooted in hands-on work and supported by examples from existing repertoire, helping students develop their own unique voice. I focus on building strong habits and encouraging independent thinking, so students grow their skills, gain a deeper understanding of music, and stay motivated to keep learning.
