Thales Del Comune
About
Hello! My name is Thales, I’m a Brazilian guitarist, composer and music teacher. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Composition from UNESP (São Paulo State University), one of the leading music schools in Latin America.
I have over 15 years of experience teaching and performing, and my background combines classical music (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven) with modern influences (Jason Becker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Angra). Beyond the guitar, I also play piano, violin, and synthesizers, and I have worked both as a soloist and as part of orchestras and ensembles.
In addition to teaching, I compose original soundtracks for short films, games and contemporary projects. This gives me a broad creative vision that I bring into each lesson.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is clear, patient and adapted to each student’s goals. Whether you want to play your favorite songs, improve your technique, or compose your own music, I’ll guide you step by step.

Thales began teaching at 16 and has since explored multiple instruments (violin, piano, synths, classical guitar), often through self-driven learning. Today, he shares this knowledge through one-on-one lessons and online platforms.
As an interpreter, he runs Neo Classical Guitar, a YouTube project exploring classical works through the lens of heavy metal. As a composer, his works have premiered with groups such as Música Viva, UNESP Academic Orchestra, Ateliê Contemporâneo, and the EMMSP Symphonic Band.
Thales also produces his own releases—like Thelema, Ground and Pound and Oceanus—entirely with virtual instruments, as well as arranging rock and metal songs with a fresh, classical twist.
A graduate in Composition from UNESP, he has studied with Alexandre Lunsqui and Flo Menezes, and further refined his craft with Unsuk Chin, Philippe Manoury, and Heinz Holliger.
🎧 Latest release: Faded Tones, a collection for solo flute exploring minimalism, echo, and texture — now available on all platforms.
