Dr. Claire Murray is a professional flutist based in Dallas, Texas. She is an experienced and patient flute and piano instructor with over 30 years experience with all ages and levels. Let me tailor lessons so that you can achieve your musical goals. My experience in public schools, private studios, professional ensembles and the military have enabled me to provide a wide range of instruction to all ages.
Teaching Style
I enjoy tailoring lessons to fit individual needs and goals. Whether it be long or short term goals, I am a patient and flexible instructor.

Claire Murray, a Yamaha Performing Artist, received her Doctor of Musical Arts from The Catholic University of America while studying with Alice Weinreb. Dr. Marray has presented masterclasses and clinics in Kentucky, Arizona, Minnesota, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and throughout the Midwest. She has performed with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Southern Illinois Music Festival, Paducah Symphony, The Kennedy Center, The Meyerson Symphony center and has recorded with the Washington Winds under the direction of Ed Peterson. Dr. Murray's affiliations include the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, the Southern Illinois Symphony, Arlington Symphony, Keys Chamber Orchestra, Capital Wind Symphony, Capital City Opera and the United States Army's Fife and Drum Corps. In addition, she served as faculty for the 2005 Georgia Governor’s Honors Program and Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2006. Dr. Murray performs exclusively on a YFL-994AH.
