Ryan Studer
About
Ryan is an experienced cello, drums, guitar, and piano teacher with over 15 years of experience. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts ("CalArts"), where he earned a BFA in Music Composition. Today, Ryan continues to share his passion for music through private lessons, teaching all ages. He also records freelance work for music libraries and composers, with credits that include Barbie, Glee, and playing in NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts.
Teaching Style
Ryan’s teaching style is centered on meeting each student at their own pace, with the understanding that every learner has unique strengths and challenges. While he incorporates the Suzuki Method, he also draws on a variety of apps, books, and additional resources to cover areas not emphasized in the Suzuki series. To enrich the learning experience, Ryan often accompanies his students on guitar or piano, creating duet and ensemble opportunities that make lessons more engaging and musical.
