About
Hello!
I have been teaching violin, viola, ukulele, and piano for over 6 years. I have been playing violin for over 20 years and am currently in two bands. I was trained classically through private lessons and graduated from Pinellas County Center for the Arts for violin. I also studied Music at Southeastern University, specializing in violin. I learned piano in college, and picked up viola and ukulele on my own.
I am an actively performing musician. I perform weddings and events with my brand Violinique. I also perform with two Celtic bands that perform monthly. The Black Velvet Band is a Renaissance Faire based traditional Irish band. We play Lady of the Lakes Renainssance Festival and have performed at the Hard Rock Cafe for St. Patty's Day.
I started teaching at Sam Ash Music School and quickly became one of the most requested teachers for violin and piano. I grew my clientele for all my instruments and began teaching privately. I have been teaching privately for the past 6 years.
Teaching Style
I believe that music is for everyone. I specialize in beginners of all ages, from 4 years to 50+ years old. Don't let your fear hold you back. I'll hold your hand through the whole process. I cater my lessons to each individual so that you are motivated to practice and continue your musical journey with me.
I use the Suzuki method for strings as a classical base, but I am very flexible in teaching the songs you want to learn!
Curriculum
Violin/viola- String Builder for complete beginners to learn how to read sheet music. Then switch to Suzuki for a classical base. I am flexible to finding songs you want to learn no matter the genre!
Piano: I use the Faber and Faber method. I am flexible to finding songs you want to learn no matter the genre!
Ukulele: I let you choose your own journey! I get you started with basic chords and how to hold it. Whichever songs you want to learn is completely up to you.
