Teaching Style
My teaching style includes a mix of technique and musicality. I target areas where pedagogical terms are used and incorporate ways to make repertoire enforce the technical skills being taught periodically. A typical 30-minute lesson may consist of 15 minutes of technique and 15 minutes of musicality.
Curriculum
For beginner Violin students - Essential Elements Violin Book 1
For beginner Piano students - Alfred Piano Series Level 1
For intermediate students in either Violin or Piano, books and specific teaching texts will be discussed during the first lesson depending on the previous method that was used. For most students, I continue to teach from the method that they were most acquainted with.
