About

Music has been a constant thread throughout my life. Growing up in a musical family, I was immersed in sound, rhythm, and creativity from an early age. Surrounded by musicians, I developed a deep appreciation for performance and composition that shaped my identity as an artist.

I began my journey singing with the school choir and soon moved into lead roles in musical theatre, including productions such as Fiddler on the Roof and Noah’s Ark. By Grade 9, I was fronting the school rock band, leading the group to several awards in Band Performance, Solo Singing, Choir, and Duet categories. These early years taught me the power of collaboration and the magic of live music.

After school, I joined the Music Society at the prestigious KMC, Delhi University, where I had the opportunity to perform a wide range of repertoire — from Hindustani classical pieces to Hans Zimmer’s choral works and solo performances. I later completed my Bachelor’s in English (Hons), and went on to pursue a BMus degree at the University of East London, where my musical world expanded even further.

During this time, I had the privilege of performing and collaborating with an array of talented artists and acts, including October (Band), Guthrie Govan, Nathan Williams (Jamiroquai), and Luke Ballard (James Bay). These experiences deepened my versatility across genres and honed my stagecraft as a professional vocalist.

Following my studies, I spent five years teaching Music at an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, guiding students from Years 6 to 12 in vocal technique, performance, and music appreciation. Alongside teaching, I continued performing and collaborating across Jazz, Rock, Soul, Fusion, and Electronic projects — constantly exploring new sounds and creative intersections.

In recent years, I ventured into the digital frontier by founding a successful Web3 platform for music and events, combining my passion for technology, innovation, and the future of artistic collaboration.

For me, music has always been more than performance — it’s an evolving journey of learning, connection, and creative expression that continues to inspire every new chapter.

Teaching Style

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that music is both a discipline and a form of personal expression. I strive to create a learning environment that balances technical mastery with creative exploration, helping students not only sing or play accurately but also connect deeply with what they perform.

Drawing from my experience as a performer across genres — from Hindustani Classical and Jazz to Rock, Soul, and Electronic — I encourage versatility and open-mindedness in musical interpretation. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s unique voice, ability, and goals, emphasizing individuality, confidence, and emotional connection.

I integrate ear training, vocal technique, music theory, and performance skills into each session, ensuring a well-rounded approach. Having taught IB students from Years 6 to 12, I also value structure and measurable progress while maintaining an atmosphere of curiosity and encouragement.

Above all, my teaching style is student-centered — focused on nurturing passion, building discipline, and developing a lifelong appreciation for music. Whether working with beginners discovering their voice or advanced students refining their craft, my goal is to help each learner grow into a confident, expressive, and authentic musician.

Curriculum

My teaching method blends classical vocal foundations with contemporary performance techniques, creating a holistic framework that adapts to each student’s needs and musical goals. Lessons begin with developing a strong technical base — focusing on breath control, posture, tone production, and pitch accuracy — before moving into style-specific interpretation and performance.

I emphasize ear training, sight-singing, and musicianship to help students understand not just how to sing, but what they are singing. Regular exercises in rhythm, articulation, and phrasing build agility and expressiveness, while improvisation and repertoire work encourage creativity and emotional depth.

My sessions are highly interactive, combining elements of Western classical voice training, Hindustani vocal techniques, and modern genres such as Pop, Jazz, and Soul. This cross-genre approach allows students to discover their own unique sound while gaining confidence in both live and studio environments.

I also incorporate reflective practice, where students record and review their performances, promoting self-awareness and continuous improvement.
