Ljiljana Maljic
About
Lili Maljic is an experienced piano teacher with many years of teaching students of all ages and levels. With a strong classical foundation and a deep passion for musical expression, she has guided countless students in developing solid technique, musicality, and confidence at the instrument.
In addition to her piano expertise, Lili is a Master of Jazz Vocal Performance, bringing a rich understanding of jazz artistry, improvisation, and vocal technique into her teaching. Her dual background allows her to offer a unique, well-rounded approach that integrates classical discipline with the creativity and freedom of jazz.
Known for her warm, patient, and motivating teaching style, Lili tailors every lesson to the needs and goals of each student, helping them grow not only as musicians but as confident artists.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and individually tailored. I focus on building a strong technical foundation while also encouraging creativity, musical expression, and confidence. Whether teaching piano or jazz voice, I adapt my approach to each student’s goals, personality, and learning pace, creating an inspiring and positive learning atmosphere.
Curriculum
My teaching method is structured, musical, and highly personalized. I believe in building a strong technical foundation while keeping creativity and expression at the center of every lesson. I work step-by-step, adjusting my approach to each student’s level, learning style, and goals.
For piano, I focus on body awareness, healthy technique, reading skills, rhythmic precision, and musical interpretation. I gradually introduce theory and ear-training so the student understands the music—not just plays the notes.
For jazz voice, my method blends classical vocal technique with jazz phrasing, improvisation, breathing, articulation, and stylistic awareness. I help students develop their own artistic voice through listening, repertoire exploration, and improvisation exercises such as scat syllables, motif development, and melodic variation.
I aim to create a positive, inspiring learning environment that helps students gain confidence, discipline, and joy in their musical journey.
