Valerio Galadini

Welcome! My name is Valerio Galadini and I am an electroacoustic composer from Rome, Italy. I can be the right teacher for anyone who wants to discover and develop their own personal style and artistic identity in the field of experimental electronic music.

Instead of following paradigms of already existing musical languages, my lessons are intended to explore the underlying mechanisms of music, in order to use them creatively for the composition of your works. I am taking the same approach in my own musical journey, which has been shaped in experimentation and reflection: during my studies at Saint Louis College of Music, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre I was involved in different artistic experiences, from the creation of acoustic music to engaging in multimedia art projects. Over time, my interests shifted toward digital arts, leading to the conceptualization of sonadec music.

During my education I was fortunate to learn from a brilliant teacher, and for this reason I have a deep respect for the art of teaching. Every lesson will be modelled on the student’s inclinations, knowledge and goals. You are welcome to join whether you are a complete beginner or already at an intermediate level, and there are no stupid questions.

Half of the lessons will focus on developing new knowledge, covering various subjects such as composition, sound design, sound synthesis, recording, mixing, mastering and even the basic classical music theory if needed. All concepts are presented as interconnected and supported by practical work and examples. We will also dedicate time to listening, analysis and discovering of new music together. I don’t give formal assignments, the goal is to naturally make what you have learned become part of your creative routine

The learning journey is extensive and will culminate in the creation of a personal album that reflects your musical identity. You will develop creative thinking, technical knowledge, and an awareness that will support you during the creative process. Lessons are offered in English or Italian.
