About

I am Aaron Morales, a professional guitarist and musician specializing in a vibrant fusion of Flamenco, Jazz, and South American Folk traditions. My primary teaching instruments are Flamenco/Classical Guitar and Electric Guitar. For students who wish to perform as a vocalist/instrumentalist, I also integrate professional voice performance techniques into the lessons. My passion is passing on a musical approach that is both technically rigorous and deeply rooted in cultural expression.

Teaching Style

I teach Beginner and Intermediate students starting from age 5 and up. My teaching style is focused on balancing physical practice with creative self-expression. While we work diligently on exercises to build technical mastery, the ultimate goal is to connect your playing directly to your heart. I work to demystify music, focusing on practical application rather than overwhelming students with unlimited theory, ensuring the learning process remains inspiring and fun.

Curriculum

My method is rooted in the practical, intuitive instruction I received from my teacher—a master musician who learned Jazz on the streets, not in a conservatory. This approach allows me to personalize the curriculum to your specific musical goals and preferred genre.

We focus on:

  • Physical Mastery: Working on essential exercises and techniques that provide the foundation to learn any song in any genre.

  • Applied Creativity: Using core concepts of scales and chords to unlock creative improvisation, allowing you to freely express yourself on the instrument.

  • Feeling the Note: Developing the ear and the musicality required to truly feel every note you play, moving beyond mechanics to emotional connection.

I do not require traditional textbooks. Instead, every student should keep a dedicated Notebook to record personalized exercises, transcriptions, and creative assignments generated during our lessons.

Credentials & Affiliations

My pedagogical foundation combines formal knowledge with years of professional experience, allowing me to teach music in a highly personalized and effective way.

  • World-Class Masterclasses: I hold Masterclass certificates from major figures in the field: Dr. Oscar Herrero (Doctor in Flamenco) and Jorge Pardo (Paco de Lucía’s former bandmate).

  • Musical Training: Personally trained by the Nicaraguan jazz musician Vinicio Petronio or "Petrosky" with a unique, practical approach to composition and improvisation.

  • Expertise: Knowledge base in Flamenco rhythmic structures (Rumba, Tanguillo, Soleá, etc), Jazz improvisation, and South American native music instrumentation.

  • Performance Experience: Proven professional performer, having led numerous successful live fusion projects for the Presidency in Nicaragua and known production companies like Sofar Sounds.
