About Me
I am a composer and music educator with extensive experience teaching at all academic levels. I hold an M.Mus. in Composition from Northwestern University (2001), an Artist Diploma in Composition from the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music & Dance (1999), and a B.Mus. in Composition from the same institution (1997)
Since 2003, I have been a lecturer at the Israel Open University, where I teach Theory, Harmony, Aural Skills, and Music Appreciation. I have also taught Aural Skills and Music Theory at Northwestern University School of Music and at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music & Dance
In 2012, I was honored to receive the Israel Prime Minister’s Award for Composers
Teaching Style
My teaching is grounded in strong theoretical foundations. Among the primary materials I use are Modus Novus by Lars Edlund and Harmony and Voice Leading by Edward Aldwell and Carl Schachter. I also prepare professional musicians for university-level entrance exams
