About

Born in Armenia (1960)

I am a professional violinist and educator with an extensive international career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral leader, and conservatory professor.

I began my concert career at the age of 11, performing as a soloist and as a member of the Fortepiano Trio in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, various Soviet republics, and across Europe. I have appeared frequently on radio and television and have been invited as a soloist with the National Orchestras of Armenia.

My concert activity includes numerous international tours and performances as a soloist and chamber musician (trios and quartets) in Armenia, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Minsk (Belarus), Riga (Latvia), Chișinău (Moldova), Milan, Turin, Vercelli, Stuttgart, Dublin, Munich, Dresden, Cologne, and other European cities.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is structured, supportive, and student-centered, combining the traditions of the Russian violin schools with modern pedagogical approaches.

I adapt each lesson to the student’s age, technical level, and personal goals, whether they are beginners, intermediate students, or advanced performers. I emphasize solid technical foundations, musical expression, disciplined practice habits, and confidence in performance.

I create a respectful and motivating learning environment, helping students develop not only technical skills but also musical understanding, stylistic awareness, and artistic independence.

Curriculum

My teaching method focuses on:

  • Correct posture and bow control

  • Left-hand technique and intonation

  • Sound production and tone quality

  • Musical phrasing and stylistic interpretation

  • Sight-reading and ensemble skills

Lessons are structured with clear goals and progressive repertoire development. I place strong emphasis on efficient practice techniques and long-term technical health.

Recommended Materials (depending on level)

  • Sevcik – School of Violin Technique

  • Ševčík & Schradieck technical studies

  • Kreutzer, Rode, and Dont etudes
