I am a native French speaker with over 10 years of experience teaching French (FLE) to international students, both online and in person, since approximately 2013–2014.
I have worked as an independent French tutor with students based in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France, teaching teenagers and adults from A1 to C1. My work has included one-to-one online lessons, long-term tutoring programs, and academic support.
I have provided school tutoring and exam preparation for middle and high school students, including grammar, writing, and oral expression. I have also supported adult learners for professional needs, relocation, and daily communication in French-speaking environments.
In addition to private tutoring, I have experience providing academic support within an international school context, working with multilingual learners and adapting lessons to different educational systems.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is structured, supportive, and highly interactive. I break concepts into simple steps, then we practice immediately through guided speaking, short exercises, and real-life role plays. I correct in a friendly, precise way and give clear takeaways so you know exactly what to review after each lesson. Lessons are personalized to your goals (school support, conversation, travel, exams) and paced to keep you motivated and progressing every time.
Curriculum
My method is goal-based and structured: we start with a quick needs assessment, set clear objectives, and follow a simple routine (warm-up conversation → targeted grammar/vocabulary → guided practice → speaking/writing task → recap and homework). I use authentic materials (articles, short videos, dialogues) and I create custom worksheets, quizzes, and review sheets to reinforce each lesson. For adult learners, I recommend Easy French Step-by-Step and Practice Makes Perfect: Complete French Grammar for clear explanations and effective practice. For middle/high school students, I adapt to the textbook used at school and can also work with widely used U.S. French textbook series such as Bien dit! when helpful. If you prefer a more immersive approach, we can add graded readers and short podcasts at your level.
