Hello! My name is Simon, and I’m a professional guitar teacher from the UK.

I’ve been teaching guitar for over 25 years, helping students of all ages develop confident technique, great musical understanding, and a real love for guitar playing.

Whether you’re a beginner starting from zero or an experienced player, I will create personalised lessons just for you. We’ll learn step-by-step, at your pace, in a clear and friendly way.

I understand that many students have busy school, work, or family schedules, so my lessons are well-structured, supportive, and encouraging, with clear goals and regular Parent progress reports for children.

Students follow weekly practice plans, and my lessons are aligned with Trinity / Rockschool or ABRSM-style progression or with hobbyists who want to learn their favourite song.

My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and highly structured. I believe learning guitar should feel inspiring and achievable, not overwhelming. Every student is different, so I tailor lessons around your goals, whether that’s playing your first chords, improving technique, preparing for exams, or becoming a confident performer.

Rather than just teaching songs, I focus on building real musicianship, good timing, clean technique, musical expression, and understanding how music works. I break ideas down clearly and explain why we’re doing things, not just how, so you progress with confidence and independence. Lessons are always practical and music-focused: we play a lot, learn through music you enjoy, and steadily build skills that last.
