About
Classical Violinist – Carnegie Hall Debut in 2026
I am a Romanian‑British violinist with international solo performance experience, including solo debuts at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall, New York), Royal Albert Hall (Elgar Room, London) and Concertgebouw (Kleine Zaal, Amsterdam).
Trained at the National University of Music in Bucharest (BMus in Instrumental Performance) and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (MMus in Solo Performance), I aim to bring high‑level artistic insight into violin pedagogy, fostering a performance‑centred and musically expressive approach to teaching. Alongside my performance studies, I completed formal pedagogy training in both degrees, forming the foundation of my work as a violin teacher.
I later specialised in the Colourstrings approach, earning certifications at the Yehudi Menuhin School and Kingston University, where I trained directly with Csaba and Géza Szilvay. Their clarity, imagination, and deep respect for each student’s musical journey continue to shape my teaching.
Teaching Style
My Teaching Approach
I work with students who want to develop:
-
a reliable, refined technical foundation
-
a confident, personal sound
-
a deep understanding of musical expression
-
a long‑term artistic identity
My lessons are structured, thoughtful, and tailored to each student’s pace and personality. I teach with clarity, patience, and high expectations, and I aim to create an environment where serious students feel supported, challenged, and inspired.
Who I Work Best With
I am the right teacher for students who:
-
are committed to long‑term study
-
want to build strong technique and musical understanding
-
value structure, depth, and consistency
-
are curious, motivated, and ready to grow
-
want guidance from a teacher with high‑level performance and pedagogical experience
I am not the right fit for students seeking quick exam tips, short‑term lessons, or casual study. My teaching is designed for committed learners who want long‑term development.
I teach in English, Romanian, and intermediate Italian/French.
My Motivation
My biggest motivation as a teacher comes from my own mentor — a truly extraordinary musician whose guidance shaped everything I do. He had a rare ability to elevate anything he touched; studying with him showed me what real artistry and real teaching can be. I carry that legacy forward with my students, aiming to offer the same clarity, depth, and transformative guidance that shaped my own musical life.
Student Achievements
Over the years, my students have achieved strong results in ABRSM and Trinity violin examinations, as well as Trinity Music Theory exams. They have also performed confidently in concerts and studio recitals, developing both technical security and musical maturity through long‑term study.
I also support students with music theory when it is relevant to their violin development, and they have passed Trinity Music Theory exams with excellent results.
Examinations
For students preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams, I focus on the technical and musical foundations that make higher‑level playing secure and expressive. My approach is not shortcut‑based; it is rooted in long‑term development and genuine understanding.
If you are committed, curious, and ready to develop your technique and musical identity over time, I would be happy to guide you on your long‑term violin journey.
