Hi, I’m Phoebe, an Australian IELTS and ESL specialist based in Sydney.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. During my studies, I received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. I also completed a Level 5 TEFL Certificate with Merit through The TEFL Academy in the United Kingdom, where I received formal training in lesson planning, grammar instruction, needs analysis, classroom management, and teaching speaking, listening, reading, and writing across all proficiency levels.

I have over 25 years of experience supporting IELTS learners and business English students. I prepare candidates for both IELTS Academic and General Training modules, with structured coaching on Task Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy. My students include university applicants, skilled migration candidates, and working professionals. Many have successfully achieved their required band scores for study, visa, and professional registration purposes.

In addition to IELTS preparation, I work as a vocational English trainer for professionals across finance, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, and import and export sectors. I design and deliver tailored programs covering business writing, presentations, negotiation skills, and cross cultural communication. I have also volunteered as an EFL teacher at a Sydney community centre, teaching general English to newly arrived migrants of different age groups and language backgrounds.

Alongside my teaching career, I bring more than 20 years of corporate leadership experience in major Australian organisations, where I coached multicultural teams and delivered professional communication training. This real world experience allows me to teach practical, results focused English that goes beyond textbooks.

For IELTS students, this means breaking down each band descriptor into practical, trainable skills and using model analysis, guided practice, and detailed feedback to improve Task Response, Coherence, vocabulary precision, and grammatical control. You will always understand exactly why you received a certain score and what to improve next.

For professional English learners, I focus on real workplace scenarios. We work on authentic emails, presentations, negotiation language, and meeting communication, with immediate corrections and practical alternatives that sound natural and confident. I prioritise clarity, structure, and impact, so you leave each lesson with language you can use immediately.
