Jeremy Little
About
I am a classically trained vocalist and pianist with a Bachelor of Science in Music from the University of the Arts (2017–2021), where I focused on vocal performance and studied piano, music theory, and musicianship. I also completed coursework in creative writing, which continues to influence my work as a songwriter and recording artist.
Alongside teaching, I am an active recording artist working in R&B, Soul, Pop, Jazz, and Musical Theatre, and have recorded a project through a production partnership with Capitol Records. My experience as both a performer and recording artist allows me to bring real-world insight about performance, studio work, and artistic development into my lessons.
As a performer, I have held live music residencies in Atlanta, including performances at Apache XLR (2022–2023) and Cat's Cafe (2024–2025), where I regularly performed original music and contemporary repertoire. These experiences inform the practical, performance-centered perspective I bring to my teaching.
I have also worked as a voice and piano instructor with Traveling Music Lessons, where I taught students of varying ages and skill levels through private in-home instruction for approximately four years. During this time I helped students develop foundational technique, musical confidence, and performance skills.
My lessons combine technical training with artistic exploration. We work on breath support, tone clarity, resonance, range, agility, phrasing, and stylistic expression. I provide custom-recorded audio exercises and practice materials tailored to each student’s voice so progress continues between lessons.
Whether a student’s goal is singing confidently, preparing for auditions, performing live, or recording music, my lessons are designed to build a healthy, sustainable vocal technique while encouraging authentic artistic expression.
Teaching Style
My teaching style combines structured vocal technique with artistic development. Each lesson focuses on strengthening breath support, tone production, resonance, range development, agility, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation so students can sing with both control and emotional expression.
I use a fully individualized approach, tailoring every lesson to the student’s voice, musical interests, and long-term goals. Lessons may include vocal exercises, repertoire coaching, ear training, performance preparation, and guidance for recording or live performance.
Because I actively work as both a performer and recording artist, I also help students understand how vocal technique applies in real-world settings, including live performance, studio recording, and stylistic interpretation across genres such as R&B, jazz, pop, and musical theatre.
Students receive custom-recorded audio exercises and practice materials to reinforce techniques between sessions, ensuring steady and measurable progress.
Lessons are custom-driven, so there are no required textbooks. Instead, exercises and repertoire are selected based on the student’s goals and vocal development. Students are encouraged to explore songs and styles that inspire them, while building the technical foundation needed to perform confidently and sustainably.
Curriculum
I use a fully individualized approach, tailoring every lesson to the student’s voice, goals, and skill level. Lessons combine technique, stylistic development, and performance preparation. I provide custom-recorded audio exercises and supporting materials to reinforce skills between sessions, helping students make measurable progress. My method emphasizes healthy, sustainable vocal technique while encouraging artistic expression and confidence.
Lessons are primarily custom-driven, so there are no required textbooks. I may suggest exercises from classical technique, jazz, contemporary vocal studies, or repertoire suited to your goals. Students are encouraged to work on songs, styles, and material that inspire them, with exercises and practice plans personalized for their voice.
