- Finally, speaking about teaching!
I have been teaching guitar and bassoon in person at the "Ouverture" Academy of my town Fragagnano (TA) for five years;
I resulted twice winner of the ranking in 2024/2025 and 2025/2026, taking a scolarship to teach classical guitar in basic music training and pre-academic courses at the Villa Borghese in Viggiano (PZ) branch of the "Egidio Romualdo Duni" Conservatory in Matera (MT) where I study.
Teaching Style
- I am a very pragmatic person, and I am currently developing a method that allows learning the musical instrument in the simplest way possible, since simplicity is a solved difficulty.
- Music is a set of elements: we have dynamics and "messe di voce", fingerings (sx/dx), timbre, technique, there is harmony, polyphony, melody and so much more. As Mozart said, these are like fly-specks that must come to life.
And so, I have thought to structure a personal method, where, step by step, I analyze together with the student during the lesson: the solfège, the pitch of the notes, the left hand; then, later, the right hand; and then, step by step, measure by measure, phrase by phrase, I structure, together with them, the learning of the piece, because this is also knowledge, beyond just practice, of what is happening, finally, the student not only learns the alphabet, but also the secrets of the language, once they start to speak it. Then, there is also the phase with the metronome, rhythmic variations, to fully absorb the various articulations, then the execution process. Everything, fundamentally, in the simplest way, with the simplest pieces, from the beginning.
- I've seen amazing results in such a short time, some of mine students are music competition winners, many of them do the class with lightheartedness and smiles, they all feel at home!
Curriculum
I have added Sor, Giuliani and Carulli methodic stduies (a classic) in credentials for lessonface photos folder, but I have other surprises (of mine and about other well known colleagues methodic books)
