Corbin Iverson
About
If you want a stronger, healthier, and more artistic singing voice then you’re in the right place! I am a professional baritone vocalist and voice teacher with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. I'm passionate about helping singers of all levels and styles discover what their voice is capable of, as well as falling in love with the process of creating beautiful art with their very own instrument! What a profound and quintessentially personal art form?! Be proud of yourself for cultivating the beauty and power of your voice!
Whether you are brand new to singing, returning after time away, performing in musical theatre, studying classical repertoire, or exploring contemporary pop and rock styles, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are while providing clear, structured vocal development. Together we focus on building efficient vocal technique through improved pitch accuracy, tonal consistency, breath coordination, range development, and expressive musical phrasing. As students progress, we may also work on register balance, vocal agility, stylistically appropriate approaches to belting and mix production, and confident performance interpretation.
Alongside my academic training, I bring real-world professional experience into every lesson. For the past five years I have worked as a professional singing performer at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, delivering live vocal performances in a high-level entertainment setting. I have also performed principal and soloist roles in opera and concert repertoire, and toured internationally as a featured soloist with the Sound of America Honor Band and Chorus.
I have experience teaching private voice students of varying ages and backgrounds, and I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where singers feel comfortable exploring their voice, building confidence, and making meaningful, lasting progress.
Teaching Style
I believe that every voice is unique, and lessons are tailored to each student's experience level and musical interests.
In our sessions we focus on:
-
Healthy breath coordination and posture
-
Expanding vocal range and improving tone quality
-
Building strength, flexibility, and consistency
-
Musical interpretation and expressive singing
-
Performance confidence and stage presence
I aim to make lessons engaging and practical, so students leave each session with clear exercises and achievable practice goals. Whether you are preparing for auditions, performances, or simply want to sing more freely and confidently, I work to provide tools that create lasting improvement.
My background in classical vocal pedagogy allows students to develop strong foundational technique that can be applied to musical theatre, classical repertoire, and contemporary styles.
Curriculum
Lessons typically include guided warm-ups, individualized technical exercises, repertoire development, diction coaching, and performance preparation. Beginning singers focus on building foundational habits such as posture, breath coordination, pitch accuracy, and basic musicianship. Intermediate and advanced students work on vocal registration balance, stylistic interpretation, language work, and audition preparation.
I may draw from well-known pedagogical repertoire such as the Italian art song collections, classical song anthologies, and appropriate musical theatre literature, while also providing customized exercises and digital practice materials tailored to each student.
Students are encouraged to develop consistent practice routines, and I provide clear feedback and structured technical goals to support steady progress.
