About
Charity Thomas, popularly known as ChachaVocals, is a Nigerian mezzo-soprano, singer, songwriter, and vocal coach based in Lagos. A graduate of Music Education and Vocal Performance and a vocal coach with over 10 years of experience, she is passionate about nurturing voices and raising excellent singers.
Her musical journey began at the age of 15 when she joined her church choir. Her dedication and leadership quickly became evident, eventually leading her to become the head of the choir, a role that deepened her love for both classical and contemporary music.
Known for her vocal versatility, ChachaVocals performs across gospel, jazz, R&B, classical music, and hymns. She has performed with several music bands and choral groups, including the Hymnodia Choir, a choir dedicated to the rich tradition of hymn singing.
Beyond performing, her passion lies strongly in teaching and vocal development. She has served as a vocal instructor at Tenstrings Music Institute and continues to mentor singers through her platform, ChachaVocals. She is also the founder of Music Estate, where she trains and guides singers to discover their unique voice, develop strong vocal technique, and build confidence as impactful performers.
Through her work, ChachaVocals is committed to raising a generation of skilled, confident, and purpose-driven singers who use their voices to inspire and influence the world.
Teaching Style
My teaching style combines strong vocal technique, vocal health, musical expression, and confidence building. With over 10 years of experience as a vocal coach, I helps singers build a solid vocal foundation while discovering their unique sound and artistic identity.
My approach blends classical vocal training with contemporary styles, enabling singers to perform confidently across genres such as gospel, jazz, R&B, hymns, and classical music.
I focuses on proper breathing, tone production, vocal control, and vocal care, while also guiding singers to interpret songs meaningfully and connect emotionally with their audience.
Through a structured, encouraging, and growth-focused approach, I trains singers to become skilled, confident, and purpose-driven vocalists. 🎶
