About
I am an experienced electric and acoustic guitarist, bassist, & keys player, as well as proficient on other instruments, such as SPDX & MIDI software. I also write & produce music as well, and am a Production Director by profession. My experience with students of all ages started from teaching and leading through student worship at Christ Fellowship Church since 2016. I then continued private one-on-one lessons, and as a teacher at a local music studio for over two years. My students range from ages 5 years to adults.
I have completed a double Bachelor’s in Worship contemporary Christian music & Music Production from Southeastern University of Lakeland Florida in 2023. Music is my passion. It is because of a guitar coach believing in me, who was not a Christian by the way, that I progressed into the man and musician I am today. Although I play at churches and went to a Christian college, I enjoy playing all genres of music. I particularly like country, classic & modern rock, as well as pop. Pre-COVID-19, I was also a music therapy musician for Mind & Melody, a non-profit organization focusing on music’s effect on memory care patients. That allowed me to play and teach with patients in memory care in multiple facilities and counties. I also have experience and understand students who are special needs, physically and mentally as well.
Music is my heart & my purpose. By age 16 I knew I was meant to use my story, music, and talents to help others. For me, the purpose of teaching is for students to love what they are doing and accomplishing.
Teaching Style
I tailor my lessons to my students needs and goals. Whether it's the first note or producing a full song, my goal is to teach you how to achieve your goals and surpass your limits. Whether you're brand new to music or have been playing for years, I seek to see you become a better musician than you were starting the lesson, with the ultimate goal of making you better than I am.
Whether it's a simple hobby or a true passion, I seek to see my students soar and love music. I don't just aim to teach my students how to play a song, but to master them. If you want to go on stage, I'll teach you how to look like a professional touring artist. If you want to write a song of your own, I'll teach you how to bring your own personality to every note you write.
Ultimately, I see music as something that connects every heart across the world, and with my personally tailored lessons I'll see that you grow and improve past your limits.
