Maisoon Shaaban

I am a professional violinist with over 17 years of experience as a performer and more than 9 years of experience in teaching violin.

I graduated from the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University, where I developed a strong academic and practical foundation in music.

As a performer, I have participated in prestigious ensembles including the Cairo Symphony Orchestra and the Cairo Opera Orchestra, as well as several orchestras in Egypt.

I am passionate about teaching and helping students of all ages and levels develop their musical skills. My lessons are structured, personalized, and adapted to each student’s goals—whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player.

In my lessons, we focus on technique, musical expression, ear training, and building confidence through playing.

My goal is to make learning the violin an enjoyable and inspiring journey.

My teaching style is structured, detail-oriented, and highly personalized to each student’s needs and level.

I place strong emphasis on fundamental technique, especially violin hold (instrument position) and posture, as I believe they are the foundation of good tone production and long-term progress. I focus on building correct habits from the very beginning to ensure healthy playing and a beautiful sound.

At the same time, I keep lessons engaging and enjoyable by incorporating musical pieces, creative exercises, and a variety of repertoire from different musical periods and styles.

I also introduce students to reading music in a fun and accessible way, helping them develop strong sight-reading skills and musical understanding gradually.

My goal is to balance discipline with enjoyment, so students build solid technique while staying motivated and inspired. I aim to help each student develop not only technical skills, but also a genuine connection to music, allowing them to express themselves confidently through the violin and enjoy their learning journey at every step.
