About
I studied Violin Performance at the University of the Philippines. I began teaching violin in 2013 at music institutions such as Yamaha School of Music and Lyric Institute of Music. I specialize in one-on-one lessons, where I focus on each student’s individual progress, needs, and goals. I also help students prepare for recitals and performances, making sure they develop both their technical skills and confidence.
I have also provided home-based violin lessons in BGC and Makati, working with many international students who participate in orchestra programs as part of their school activities. I help them with their assigned orchestra pieces, school requirements, and practice. Since 2020, I have also been offering online violin lessons, including preparation for graded examinations such as AMEB and ABRSM. I guide students through their examination pieces while helping them strengthen their technique, musicality, and overall performance.
Aside from teaching, I continue to perform as a violinist for weddings, private events, and concerts. I am also a member of the Philippine Suzuki Association, which allows me to continue learning and growing as a violin educator. Through both teaching and performing, I hope to help my students develop a strong foundation, confidence, and genuine enjoyment of playing the violin.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is personalized and adaptable to each student’s needs, age, and goals. For young learners, I incorporate the Suzuki method, focusing on listening, ear training, and fun playing exercises to help them develop a strong musical foundation while enjoying their lessons.
Alongside the Suzuki approach, I use various technical exercises and violin method books to develop proper technique, tone, intonation, rhythm, and musicality. For students preparing for graded violin exams, I provide guidance with their required pieces while also working on the technical skills needed to perform with confidence.
For students learning violin as a hobby, I keep lessons engaging and relevant to their interests. I’m happy to work on pop songs, favorite pieces, or other music they would like to learn.
Most importantly, I believe every student learns differently. I adjust my teaching approach according to the student’s learning style, ability, and goals, creating lessons that are both productive and enjoyable.
