I won a scholarship to study flute and piano at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK on the Performer’s Course with Colin Lilley of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

I’m a touring, radio-charted jazz saxophonist, composer, and producer who loves helping people enjoy playing music more. I work professionally on stage and in the studio, and I bring that real-world experience into every lesson.

For over 33 years as a musician and 29 years as an educator for all grade levels and teachers alike, I have the experience of learning from my previous students and applying more efficient techniques to current and future ones. Much like my students, I work towards learning the most innovative techniques while foreseeing the trends of the future in music and education.

I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Houghton University (2022) and a Master of Music in Music Education from SUNY Potsdam (2023). My training includes flute studies with Angela McBrearty and Brian Dunbar, and I’ve had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses with world-renowned flutists Amy Porter and Marianne Gedigian.

Hello! My name is Anna-Maria Vermeulen and I love playing and teaching the flute, piccolo, fife and recorder. I received my Masters degree in flute performance (cum laude) at the University of Pretoria, and I hold a Bachelors and an Honours degree (cum laude) in flute performance. I also hold a Performer’s Licentiate from the University of South Africa.

Who am I? If you don't know yet, my name is Tatiana Thaele and I am the founder of The Flute Practice, an online hub of flute education that helps flutists from all over the world realize their dream of playing the flute.I have taught students from as young as 6 all the way to 89 on 6 different continents and one thing really stands out: music is deeply meaningful to people.

Manhattan based woodwind doubler, Katy Faracy, performs in pit orchestras and live music venues throughout NYC. She has performed numerous times at 54 Below and was a part of the Off Broadway revival “Sugar The Musical.

I am an Illinois Certified Music Educator of 18 years in public school. I currently teach at Carbondale Middle School in Illinois. My expertise is with beginning instrumental music through high school. While my specialty is woodwinds, particularly saxophone, I am competent in playing and teaching all band instruments.

My musical journey started when I was 9 years old when I decided that I wanted to learn to play the flute. I'll never forget my first flute teacher, and I would love to help you reach your musical goals!Recently I have had the opportunity to open my own music studio in my house, and I am thrilled to accept new private lesson students.

Nat Scida is a flutist, piccoloist, and alum of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance. During his time at VCU, he served as principal flute in both the VCU Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, and also performed on piccolo with the Wind Ensemble.
