Hi, my name is Yotam Ben-Or and I'm a harmonica player and composer. I moved to NYC after receiving a full scholarship to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music and graduated in May 2016. I perform and record in NYC and internationally as a band-leader as well as a sideman.

Santiago Lurueña studied at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Badajoz under Professor Alfonso Pineda, Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen, with Annelien van Wauwe, and early music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels under the guidance of Benjamin Dieltjens and Nicola Boud.

Danielle Sopchak is a NYC-based flutist and multi-instrumentalist. Known first for her vibrant flute playing, Danielle is a performer, educator and arranger. She strives to bring the flute into the forefront of improvisational music. Though currently based in NYC, she is an active member of the Nashville Jazz scene.

Bill McBirnie is an acclaimed and internationally recognized jazz and Latin flute specialist. He was solicited, personally, by Sir James Galway to serve as his Resident Jazz Flute Specialist. Bill is also author of the book, The Technique and Theory of Improvisation – A practical guide for flutists, doublers, and other instrumentalists.

I received my Masters in Music Theory at Boston University and I graduated from Keene State College with a Bachelors degree in Music Composition and Technology.

Hello, I’m Jay, a full-time piano educator and co-founder of SGMusicians. My musical journey began at the age of 4 through the Yamaha Junior Music Course, where I developed strong aural skills and the ability to play by ear. I went on to achieve ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano and Music Theory, both with Distinction, and was later awarded the LTCL in Piano Performance with Distinction.

I have been a music educator for over 20 years in both private lessons and in classroom settings. I am currently teaching at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts where I teach Jazz Vocals, Composition, Music Pedagogy, Singer-Songwriter, Music Business, and Music Theory.

From Chicago, I have over 25 years of international touring experience, most often accompanying many of the top artists on the Chicago blues scene. For more than two decades I’ve taught blues guitar, both individually and in group settings — in the USA, Europe, and Africa.
