Upon graduating from high school in 1980 I attended Montclair State University where I studied clarinet, saxophone and flute, graduating in 1986 with a degree in music education. I help students understand the music theory behind chord progressons, creating solos and riffs, lyric writing and much more. I have a passion for making these things easy to understand.

My background and formal education is in classical music, and I play contemporary styles like Pop, R&B, Gospel and Jazz. I have more than 25 years experience as a private piano teacher, performer and composer. I enjoy teaching students on all levels from beginners to advanced, age 12 to seniors.

Hi there! I started playing piano at the age of 4 and have loved it ever since. I have completed the Australian Music Examination Board's Certificate of Performance and The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in eighth grade and have furthered my musical journey as a piano tutor. I am also a graduate of the University of New South Wales.
