Ryan is a musician from Logan Square who plays a plethora of different instruments. He specializes in guitar, banjo, mandolin and ukulele, but also dabbles in accordion, piano, drums, harmonica and several others. Learning to play instruments is one of the true pleasures in his life and he hopes he can make it one of yours, too. As a teacher Ryan's goals are fairly simple.

I've been a professional multi-instrumentalist for 10 years in the country/bluegrass/oldtime tradition as part of various acts such as the Dust Settlers and the Wide Awakes, as well as actively performing solo.

I have been playing and teaching stringed instruments including mandolin for the past forty years. I taught individual lessons at East Tennessee State University in the Bluegrass, Old Time and Country Music department as well as group lessons in an after school program for many years.

Starting something new or figuring out how to take it to the next level can be challenging, but I am here to guide you every step of the way.
