Violist, Conor McAvinue is currently based in Baltimore, Maryland studying with Choong-Jin Chang at Peabody Conservatory. Prior to Peabody, Conor received a master's degree at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University with James Dunham and a bachelor's degree at San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Dimitri Murrath and Jonathan Vinocour.

I am a professional violist living in The Hague, the Netherlands. I studied at the CRR in Boulogne-Billancourt, Trinity College London, the Conservatory of The Hague and the Dutch String Quartet Academy in the Netherlands. I have devoted a large part of my life to playing the string quartet.

Music has always been at the centre of my life — as both an art and a language of expression. I’m a composer, violist, and educator with a PhD in Composition from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where I was mentored by Sir Harrison Birtwistle and Hans Abrahamsen.

I began playing the violin at the age of 11. My first violin instruction was in Reno, Nevada with Valerie Nelson of the Reno Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. Since the late 90's, I have played in over a dozen symphony orchestras, soloing with the Orchestra of Southern Utah, the Southwest Symphony, and the Symphony of the Canyons. Sharon Gulla is a violin teacher and performer residing in the Lehigh Valley. She spent her formative years learning Russian playing technique with Vladimir Pritsker, who was a long-time performer with the Syracuse Symphony. She later studied violin with Susan Waterbury at the Ithaca College School of Music.

A distinguished violinist and educator based in the Piedmont Triad region, serving as Associate Principal Violin II with the Winston-Salem Symphony, and maintaining an active career as a chamber musician, recording artist, and instructor.

Veronica Lopez is a recent Carnegie Mellon University graduate with a BFA in Viola Performance and a minor in Conducting. She completed her certification in Music Education in December 2019 and student taught in the Mt. Lebanon School District/ Pittsburgh Public Schools.

With over ten years of experience teaching private violin lessons and leading school and youth orchestras, I’m passionate about helping each student grow at their own pace—whether they’re just beginning or preparing for auditions. My lessons blend structure with creativity, building strong technical foundations while keeping the joy of music-making front and center.
