I like to work within the Jazz and Brazilian music styles. Besides developing reading skills, improvisation theory and creativity, I stimulate students to learn by heart the repertoire. Every week we study a new tune, memorize it, improvise on it and analyze its melody an harmony.

Thanks for choosing me as you private music instructor. I’ve enjoyed teaching music since 2001, and also have many years of experience teaching over online platforms. I specialize in teaching beginner to advanced saxophone, beginner to intermediate clarinet, beginner flute, and beginner to advanced jazz improvisation.

I am a woodwind specialist. My main instrument is flute/piccolo. Then I learned saxophone so I could play in jazz bands. Then I learned clarinet because it just seemed fun. I learned these instruments (and more) while getting my bachelor degree in Music Education at Kent State University 1996-2000.
