Hello! I’m Golshid, a professional violinist and instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience. I studied at the conservatory and have dedicated my career to helping students develop their skills with clarity and confidence. My teaching approach focuses on making music an accessible language for every student.

I am a chamber musician and music teacher. Currently, I work as Assistant Director of Sycamore Strings Academy, teaching violin individual and ensemble lessons, conducting the youth chamber orchestra, and coaching the adult chamber ensemble. Recent public performances have included accompanying choir and soloists in Handel's Messiah and Saunder Choi's Verum Corpus.

About Me: Greetings! I'm Dr. Lily Zhu (I prefer to be called Dr. Zhu, and I am delighted to share a bit about myself with you. I'm a violinist, violin teacher, and a content creator. With a passion for music and education, I have dedicated my life to inspiring students to explore the wonders of violin.

With 20 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all ages, from young children to adults, and strives to make each lesson both enjoyable and educational. I have graduated from the Salzburg Mozarteum, and currently working in the Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck. No matter your interests, I'm here to help you achieve your musical goals.

I studied jazz violin and improvisation with Swiss violinist Sophie Lussi in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2009-2014). I also studied harmony and linear improvisation in the Jazz department at the J.B. Massa Municipal School of Music in Rosario, Argentina.

I am an upper strings educator with 30 years of playing experience and 22 years of teaching in a variety of education settings. I earned my Bachelors in Viola Performance at the University of Houston in 2007 and my Masters in Education from Lamar University in 2011.

I am a dedicated violin/bowed strings teacher with experience working with students of all ages and levels. My approach centers on building a strong technical foundation through proper posture, bowing, intonation, and tone production. I create personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs, focusing on clear, step-by-step progress.
