Hello! My name is Samuel Chacon and I'm a bass player from Brazil. I was born in 1989 and started playing bass at 14 years old. I joined Unicamp at 18 and studied with several famous teachers such as Richard Bona, Billy Sheehan, André Vasconcelos and Adriano Campagnani.

I am a Juilliard trained violist and violinist, and I teach in order to share my love of music with as many people as I can! I teach music lessons and perform from the Boston area. Until recently I performed as second solo viola in the Opera Orchestra National Montpellier in France. I teach a studio of students ranging from complete beginners to pre-professionals.

I am a professional violinist, educator, and music manager with over 10 years of international teaching and performance experience. I hold a Specialist Diploma in Violin Performance and Pedagogy from the Prague Conservatoire and a Master’s degree from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

I currently perform with the Santa Cecilia Symphony Orchestra in Madrid and have taught students from all over the world, from curious beginners to aspiring professionals. When I was 6 I watched a symphonic concert on tv and I fell in love with strings. So I started asking a violin to my parents and began attending a violin course with a private teacher. Next I attended the music school of my town and at the age of 14 I entered Milan Conservatory where I met the viola, my true love.
